It is also really beautiful and romantic for me that Jack Still: the main character, the ideas were nicely chosen, hardly creepy and also not disturbing compared to previous works.

By that I mean the tension, the creepy and atmospheric moments, that usually was shown shocking or cleverly twisted and bizarre. A novel with fantasy and historical features that tries to criticize greed for money, claims to power and misogyne social structures, while unfortunately for me it has left out some elements from Henry's other books. Unfortunately I am a little disappointed.
